Pensacola Realtor® Installed As District Vice President of Florida's Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 31, 2011 – Em Weiner, sales associate, Prudential Florida Realty in Pensacola, has been installed as District 9 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state's largest professional association. Weiner will serve her fellow professionals in District 9, which encompasses Bay, Gulf, Franklin, Walton, Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties. She is a member of the Pensacola Association of Realtors.

"With large supply of properties for buyers to consider at reasonable interest rates, a renter with good credit can buy a home and reduce the monthly payment," says Weiner, who focuses on residential brokerage. "That's just one of the market opportunities in 2011."

A leader in regional and state real estate organizations, Weiner served as 2009 president of the Pensacola association. She has also been a director and fair housing chairman, and served as 2006 president of the Pensacola Bay Area Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors. She has served as a director of the state association and is a member of the Realtors Political Involvement Committee. In the community, she has been a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity, Sunshine Kids and breast cancer research.

As district vice president for the state association, Weiner says her priorities are enhancing Florida Realtors' services and support for real estate professionals. "Our members should take advantage of current market conditions to retool their professional knowledge and skills," she says.

Weiner adds that Realtors must continue to be leaders in their Florida communities. "Our members support a wide range of community organizations dedicated to improving individual lives," she says. "It's also important to understand that communities derive a long-term benefit when families achieve homeownership."

Florida Realtors®, formerly known as the Florida Association of Realtors®, serves as the voice for real estate in Florida.
