Apopka Realtor® to Serve As Secretary of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb 1, 2019 – G. Mike McGraw, a broker-associate with RE/MAX Central Realty in Lake Mary, has been installed as 2019 secretary of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association with 187,000 members. “We want to help the next generation of Realtors find success in the real estate business by becoming trusted advisors to their customers,” McGraw says.
"Our members enjoy building relationships that help individuals, couples and families achieve the American dream of homeownership"
Looking ahead to the state’s 2019 real estate market, McGraw expects prices to rise for single-family homes, condominiums and commercial properties in local markets throughout the state. “It seems like everyone wants to live, work and play in Florida,” says McGraw, who is active in residential brokerage. “However, we definitely need to increase the supply of workforce housing to keep up with our booming economy.”
Water quality is one of Florida’s most pressing statewide issues, adds McGraw. “Realtors can help address these problems on a local, regional and statewide basis, by collaborating with community groups, government agencies, nonprofits, and business organizations,” he says.
A leader in regional, state and national real estate associations, McGraw was 2011 president of the Orlando Regional Realtor Association and 2017-19 president-elect of the Mid-Florida Regional-MLS. He has served as chair or vice chair of seven Florida Realtors committees and forums and was District 12 vice president in 2012.
McGraw has also been a director of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) and served as major investor liaison.
As secretary of the state association, McGraw will focus on providing Florida Realtors with robust information, education and advocacy programs to help them deliver the highest level of professional service to their clients and communities. “Our members enjoy building relationships that help individuals, couples and families achieve the American dream of homeownership,” he says. “We also serve as the voice for our neighborhoods, communities and the great state of Florida.”
