Pompano Beach Realtor® Installed As District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., January 2010 – Randolph “Randy” Bates, sales associate, Ivan J. Smith & Co. Realtors in Pompano Beach, has been installed as District 11 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Bates will serve his fellow professionals in District 11, which encompasses Broward County.

“With low home prices, stable interest rates and the extension of the federal tax credit for buyers, we expect strong sales activity this year in our district’s real estate market,” says Bates, who is active in residential brokerage, luxury oceanfront condominiums and commercial sales and leasing.

A leader in regional, state and national real estate organizations, Bates was 2008 president of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale and its 2005 Realtor of the Year. He has served as a director since 2006, and been active in numerous committees. In addition, Bates was a 2008 director of the Society of Commercial Realtors.

On the state level, Bates has been a director since 2004 and has served on the strategic planning, finance and executive committees, as well as various forums and councils for Florida Realtors®. He has also been a director of the National Association of Realtors since 2007. In the community, Bates served on the City of Pompano Beach redevelopment district board.

As district vice president of the state association, Bates’ priorities include member communications and educational programs, and enhancing awareness of the benefits offered by Florida Realtors®. “Our association has an extensive array of tools to help real estate professionals build their businesses, while assisting homebuyers and sellers in achieving their personal dreams,” he says.

Florida Realtors®, formerly known as the Florida Association of Realtors®, serves as the voice for real estate in Florida.
