ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 31, 2011 –
Jesse Acevedo, broker-manager, ERA Ace Realty & Investments in Plantation, has been installed as District 11 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state's largest professional association. Acevedo will serve his fellow professionals in District 11, which encompasses Broward County. He is a member of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale.
"There are many opportunities in today's market for buyers, including the ability to purchase homes at relatively low prices," says Acevedo, who is active in residential brokerage and project development.
A leader in regional, state and national real estate organizations, Acevedo was 2009 president of the Fort Lauderdale association. He has served on a number of committees, including Strategic Planning and Audit and Finance. He has also served as a director of the state association in 2004-1010, and was a member of the Public Policy and Emerging Technologies Committees. Acevedo was a 2009 director of the National Association of Realtors® and a member of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Issues and Policies Committee.
As district vice president for the state association, Acevedo will focus on enhancing Florida Realtors' services and support for real estate professionals. "Our members should take advantage of current market conditions to retool their professional knowledge and skills," he says.
Acevedo adds that Realtors must continue to be leaders in their Florida communities. "Our members support Florida's high quality of life, which is impacted by every major public policy issue, including land use, taxes, energy, healthcare, environmental, transportation, financial and economic development," he says.
