Lee County Realtor® Installed As District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., January 2010 – Suzanne Sherer, sales associate, REMAX Realty Team in Cape Coral, has been installed as District 5 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach Inc., Sherer will serve her fellow professionals in District 5, which encompasses Lee, Collier and Hendry counties.
“With low home prices, stable interest rates and the extension of the federal tax credit for buyers, we expect strong sales activity this year in our district’s real estate market,” says Sherer, who is active in residential sales.
A leader in regional, state and national real estate organizations, Sherer served as 2009 president of the Fort Myers association, and was named its 2005 Realtor of the Year. She has been a director since 2004, and served as treasurer in 2007, secretary in 2006, chair and member of numerous committees.
On the state level, Sherer was a 2004-2009 director and 2009 chair of the Technology Research Committee. She is a graduate of the association’s Leadership Academy. Sherer was a director of the National Association of Realtors in 2006-2010 and serves on its Member Policy and Board Jurisdiction Committee.
In the community, Sherer is a member of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce and a consistent contributor to the Children’s Miracle Network, earning an office award in 2008 and 2009.
As district vice president of the state association, Sherer plans to focus on empowering members in a changing real estate market. “Our association has an extensive array of tools to help real estate professionals build their businesses, while assisting homebuyers and sellers in achieving their real estate dreams,” she says.
