Lakeland Realtor® Installed As District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., January 2010 – Arthur Mattson, broker-owner, Lakeland Realty in Lakeland, has been installed as District 10 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Lakeland Association of Realtors, Mattson will serve his fellow professionals in District 10, which encompasses Polk and Highlands counties.

“With low home prices, stable interest rates and the extension of the federal tax credit for buyers, we expect strong sales activity this year in our district’s real estate market,” says Mattson, who is active in residential sales.

A leader in regional and state real estate organizations, Mattson was 2008 president of the Lakeland Association of Realtors and held secretary and treasurer positions in 2005 and 2006, respectively. In addition, he was recognized as the 2007 Realtor of the Year by the association. On the state level, Mattson has served as a director since 2006. He has been active on numerous committees, including the inaugural Leadership Academy.

In the community, Mattson was 2006-2009 chairman of the City of Lakeland Zoning Board. In September, he was elected president of the Florida State Soccer Association.

As district vice president of the state association, Mattson’s priorities include member communications and educational programs, and enhancing awareness of the benefits offered by Florida Realtors®. “Our association has an extensive array of tools to help real estate professionals build their businesses, while assisting homebuyers and sellers in achieving their personal dreams,” he says.
