ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 31, 2011 –
Holly Curley, broker/owner, Holly Curley Choice Realty in Umatilla, has been installed as District 7 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state's largest professional association. Curley will serve her fellow professionals in District 7, which encompasses Lake, Sumter, Hernando, Marion and Citrus counties. She is a member of the Realtor Association of Lake & Sumter Counties.
"There will be terrific homeownership opportunities for first-time buyers in 2011 with many great homes available in the lower price ranges," says Curley, who is active in residential brokerage and property management.
A leader in regional and state real estate organizations, Curley served as 2008 president of her local association, and has held numerous other positions. She has also served as a director of the state association in 2006-2010, and was a member of its Honor Society. She has been a director of the Mid-Florida Regional Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Locally, she has been a president of the Lake County chapter, Women's Council of Realtors, president of the Umatilla City Council and director of the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce.
As district vice president for the state association, Curley will focus on enhancing Florida Realtors' services and support for real estate professionals. "Sales associates can thrive in 2011 by going back to the basics," she says. "They should take advantage of today's technology to make the purchase or sale process quick and efficient for clients."
Curley adds that Realtors must continue to be leaders in their Florida communities. "Our members are involved at many levels, from individual charitable contributions to civic organizations and local government," she says. "By sharing their professional expertise while listening to local needs, Realtors foster great relationships that lead to strong communities."
