Key West Realtor® Installed As District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., January 2010 – Karen J. Lane, broker-associate, Prudential Knight & Gardner Realty Inc. in Key West, has been installed as District 4 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Key West Association of Realtors, Lane will serve her fellow professionals in District 4, which encompasses Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys.

“With low home prices, stable interest rates and the extension of the federal tax credit for buyers, we expect strong sales activity this year in our district’s real estate market,” says Lane, who is active in residential brokerage.

A leader in regional and state real estate organizations, Lane served as 2009 president of the Key West Association of Realtors and was named its 2008 Realtor of the Year. She has held numerous committee positions with the association. On the state level, Lane was a director in 2008-2009 and has served on various committees and forums dealing with technology, resort/second home and international issues.

In the community, Lane is active in the Key West Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity and Wesley House Family Services.

As district vice president of the state association, Lane’s priorities include building member awareness of the many benefits offered by Florida Realtors®, including its ambassador and high school scholarship program. “Our association has an extensive array of tools to help real estate professionals build their businesses, while assisting homebuyers and sellers in achieving their personal dreams,” she says.
