Jacksonville Realtor® Installed As District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., January 2010 – Henry “Hank” Oltmanns, broker/owner, A Brokers Choice Realty LLC in Jacksonville, has been installed as District 1 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association. Oltmanns will serve his fellow professionals in District 1, which encompasses Flagler, Putnam, Alachua, St. Johns, Clay, Bradford, Union, Baker, Hamilton, Suwannee, Columbia, Duval and Nassau counties. He is a member of the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors.

“With low home prices, stable interest rates and the extension of the federal tax credit for buyers, we expect strong sales activity this year in our district’s real estate market,” says Oltmanns, a 25-year real estate veteran who is active in residential brokerage.

A leader in regional, state and national real estate organizations, Oltmanns received the Presidential Lifetime Service Award in 2008 from the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors. He was 2007 president of the association, a director in 2002 and 2004-2008, and president of the association’s Multiple Listing Service (MLS) organization. Oltmanns also participated in the “Ramp It Up,” “Paint the Town” and the Jacksonville HOME Summit initiatives.

Oltmanns has also served on numerous committees for the state association, and was a director in 2002 and 2004-09. He was a director of the National Association of Realtors® in 2008-2009. Closer to home, he has been a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce since 1999 and a member of the Northeast Florida Regional Council, Affordable Workforce Housing Task Force.

As district vice president for the state association, Oltmanns says his priorities are enhancing communications, leadership training and community involvement, as well as building awareness of the benefits offered by Florida Realtors®. “Our association has an extensive array of tools to help real estate professionals build their businesses, while assisting homebuyers and sellers in achieving their personal dreams,” he says.
