Port Charlotte Realtor® Installed As District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., January 2009 – Cynthia Logan, broker-associate, Coldwell Banker Sunstar Realty Inc. in Port Charlotte, has been installed as District 13 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. Logan will serve her fellow professionals in District 13, which encompasses Manatee, Hardee, Sarasota, DeSoto and Charlotte counties. She’s a member of the Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte-North Port Association of Realtors.
Active in residential, relocation, REO and auctions, Logan has served on a myriad of local real estate association committees and in leadership roles since 1993. On the state level, she was an FAR director from 2003-06 and 2007-08. She’s also served as chair of FAR’s Auction Marketing Council.
In the community, Logan has been active with her local chamber of commerce, as an instructor for the Housing Corporation of Charlotte County and served as treasurer of the Peace River Federated Republican Woman's Forum in 2007. She is a member of Leadership Charlotte and serves as the choir director and director of children’s ministries for Victory Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.
A full-time Florida Realtor for 34 years, Logan has had many leadership opportunities. As a FAR District VP, she says she understands that “the districts serve the leadership team in bringing the FAR vision to the district. Also the District VP is tuned into the issues and needs of the district he/she serves,” Logan says. She adds that she is keenly aware of the impact of foreclosures in the local real estate markets and is an advocate for solutions to this critical issue.
The Florida Association of Realtors®, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its 125,000 members in 67 local boards/associations throughout Florida.
