Cape Coral Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., January 2007 – Scott Whitlock, sales associate with Premier Realty of Southwest Florida, Inc. in Cape Coral, has been installed as District 5 Vice President of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Cape Coral Association of Realtors, Whitlock will serve his fellow professionals in District 5, which encompasses Lee, Collier and Hendry counties.
“We must be diligent in protecting our region’s natural resources, which are vital to our great lifestyle,” he says. “Just as importantly, we need to support and make every effort available to make homeownership an affordable and realistic goal for everyone who desires to purchase a first or second home.”
Active in residential brokerage, Whitlock served as 2005 president of the Cape Coral association and has been a FAR director since 2004. A graduate of Leadership Cape Coral, he is a member of the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association, Chamber of Commerce Cape Coral, Rotary Club of Cape Coral-Goldcoast and Relay for Life.
Whitlock brings extensive industry experience to his role as FAR District Vice President. “I believe in the old saying that knowledge is power,” he says, “and I am motivated by the fact that we are helping people achieve their dreams.”
As a FAR vice president, Whitlock will focus on Realtor® education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region.
