High Springs Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., January 2007 – Robin A. Schwartz, broker-associate, Phillips Realty in High Springs, has been installed as District 8 Vice President of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Dixie-Gilcrist-Levy Board of Realtors®, Schwartz will serve her fellow professionals in District 8, which encompasses Holmes, Washington, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Franklin, Liberty, Gadsden, Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, Lafayette, Gilchrist, Levy and Dixie counties.
“Throughout our region, the biggest challenge is growth,” she says. “Our smaller towns and counties in particular must be careful about balancing our great quality of life with the opportunities provided by new development.”
Active in land sales, land development and residential brokerage, Schwartz served as 2005 and 2006 president of the Dixie-Gilcrist-Levy board, and has been a FAR director since 2005.
Schwartz brings extensive civic experience to her role as FAR District Vice President. “Communication has always been my favorite form of empowerment – and the more communication within our diverse region, the better,” she says.
As a FAR vice president, Schwartz will focus on Realtor® education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors® seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream.
The Florida Association of Realtors®, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its 170,000 members in 68 local boards/associations throughout the state.
