Bradenton Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, Fla., January 2007 – Lynn Parker, managing broker, RoseBay Real Estate in Bradenton, has been installed as District 13 Vice President of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Manatee Association of Realtors®, Parker will serve her fellow professionals in District 13, which encompasses Manatee, Hardee, Sarasota, DeSoto and Charlotte counties.
“Since our district runs along the Gulf of Mexico with several barrier islands, property insurance is the greatest challenge we face,” she says. “Our buyers are often finding it difficult to obtain adequate coverage and are shocked at the expense and limited options currently available.”
Active in residential brokerage and property management, Parker served as 2004 president of the Manatee association, and has been a FAR director since 2003. A member of the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB), Parker is also active in the Manatee Chamber of Commerce, Manatee Home Builders Association and Habitat for Humanity.
Parker brings extensive industry experience to her role as FAR district vice president. “I enjoy helping people achieve their goals,” she says. “Being able to share my experiences with our associates – and learn from them in return – keeps me going.”
As a FAR vice president, Parker will focus on Realtor® education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors® seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream.
The Florida Association of Realtors®, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its 170,000 members in 68 local boards/associations throughout the state.
