Tampa Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., January 2007 – Susanna Madden, broker-associate, RE/MAX ACR Elite Group, Inc. in Tampa, has been installed as District 6 Vice President of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors®, Madden will serve her fellow professionals in District 6, which encompasses Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties.  

“Our district’s primary concerns are escalating taxes, rapidly rising insurance costs, and unbridled growth,” Madden says. “Tax relief is also important for owners, especially those who own second homes and investment properties.” 

Active in residential brokerage, Madden is a former president of the Tampa association and a former “Realtor® of the Year” for the Central Pasco Board of Realtors®.  She has been a FAR director since 1999 and was a former director for the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). She has also been active in the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce and its Business Expo for 15 years.  

Madden brings extensive industry experience to her role as FAR District Vice President. “I plan to emphasize the importance of education, because knowledge equates with professionalism and power,” she says. “I want real estate professionals to view their business as a life-long career that has education and ethics as its cornerstones.”  

As a FAR vice president, Madden will focus on Realtor® education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors® seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream.
