Winter Haven Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., January 2007 – Benjamin Crosby, broker, Crosby & Associates, Inc. in Winter Haven, has been installed as District 10 Vice President of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the East Polk County Association of Realtors®, Crosby will serve his fellow professionals in District 10, which encompasses Polk and Highlands counties.

The biggest challenge facing our region is stabilizing the housing market, reducing the oversupply of homes, and bringing supply and demand back into balance,” he says. “On the commercial side, we need to accommodate the continuing strong demand from new retailers who service the residential market.”

Active in commercial sales and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Crosby was 2006 president of the East Polk association and serves as a FAR director. He is also a member of the Realtor® Association of Indian River County and the Orlando Regional Realtor® Association, and active in Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Crosby brings extensive industry experience to his role as FAR District Vice President. “As someone who has been in the investment business for more than 30 years, I enjoy helping people make prudent financial decisions,” he says. “Whether looking at land, commercial real estate or a new home, people want to make wise decisions that will pay off for them down the road.”

As a FAR vice president, Crosby will focus on Realtor® education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors® seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream.

The Florida Association of Realtors®, the voice for real estate in Florida, provides programs, services, ongoing education, research and legislative representation to its 170,000 members in 68 local boards/associations throughout the state.
