Pompano Beach Realtor® Installed as District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
 

ORLANDO, Fla., January 2007 – James Balistreri, broker-owner, Balistreri Realty, Inc. in Pompano Beach, has been installed as District 11 Vice President of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Realtor® Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Balistreri will serve his fellow professionals in District 11, which encompasses Broward County. 

“Our biggest challenge is overcoming negative perceptions about the condition of our marketplace, “ he says. “If you look more carefully at the numbers, you can see that residential sales activity in Broward County is moving along at a normal pace.” 

Active in residential and commercial brokerage, as well as other real estate-related services, Balistreri is a former president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale association, and has served as a FAR director since 1994. A member of the Master Broker Forum, he is active with local charitable associations and chambers of commerce. He is also scholarship chairman for the National Exchange Club for high school students.  

Balistreri brings extensive industry experience to his role as FAR District Vice President. “I am proud to be making a tangible difference in people’s lives,” he says. “As Realtors®, we have a positive influence on our communities and serve on the front line in protecting private property rights across the country.”  

As a FAR vice president, Balistreri will focus on Realtor® education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region.
