Destin Realtor® Elected District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, FL —Benjamin F. Anderson, president, Anderson Auctions, Inc. in Destin, has been elected District 9 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors®, Anderson will serve his fellow professionals in District 9, which encompasses Bay, Walton, Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties.

“The biggest issue in our region is growth,” says Anderson.” We have extensive vacant areas suitable for development, and we must always include protection of our natural resources – water, beaches, rivers, and agricultural area. We also need to work together to enhance our economic bases of tourism and military installations.”

Active in real estate auctions, appraisals and general brokerage sales, Anderson served as 2005 president of the Emerald Coast association. He is a member of the Destin and Walton County Chambers of Commerce, the Choctawhatchee High School Advisory Council and serves as auctioneer for several churches and non-profit groups.

Anderson brings extensive community experience to his role as FAR district vice president. “Over the years I have been involved with many civic groups and organizations, working on planning, goal setting and the successful realization of these programs,” he says.

As a FAR vice president, Anderson will focus on Realtor® education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors® seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream of homeownership.
