Sarasota Realtor® Elected District Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association
ORLANDO, FL — Darla Furst, office manager/broker, Michael Saunders & Company in Sarasota, has been elected District 13 vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR), the state’s largest professional association. A member of the Sarasota Association of Realtors®, Furst will serve her fellow professionals in District 13, which encompasses Manatee, Hardee, Sarasota, DeSoto and Charlotte counties.
“We appear to be experiencing a very rapid shift from a seller’s market to a buyer’s market,” she says. “It is our challenge to educate clients as to the current market conditions. Our second issue is to continually protect the private property rights of our residents and property owners.”
Active in residential brokerage, Furst served as 2003 president of the Sarasota association, and is a FAR director. A Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), she is also active in the Women’s Council of Realtors®, Habitat for Humanity, and sponsored a work project home clean-up in 2004 and 2005..
Furst brings extensive leadership and training experience to her role as FAR district vice president. “I have been actively involved in the real estate industry for almost 30 years with most of my career focused on real estate management,” she says. “My passion is working with newly licensed associates and helping them to achieve success quickly and professionally.”
As a FAR vice president, Furst will focus on Realtor® education, training and involvement in vital housing-related issues in the region. As real estate professionals, Realtors® seek to improve the availability and affordability of housing, while helping people from all walks of life achieve the American dream.
