Success, some people say, is all about connections. Who do you know? Who knows you? Work on that and you’ll succeed. For the long term, though, to sustain in a changing marketplace, it’s also what you know. Here’s an example of how one Realtor jumpstarted her career.
Take a walk down the knowledge path
When Sue Flaig, broker with Coldwell Banker Residential in Clearwater, started her real estate career, she attended professional conferences and earned several designations. Today she’s celebrating more than 25 years in the business and has a series of credentials, including CRB, CRS, GRI, PMN.
“Designations set you apart as a professional,” she says. “They provide great referral resources and help you build your business. With more knowledge you can do a better job – and having those initials after your name is a great conversation starter as well!”
Florida real estate professionals can add to their expertise and marketing power by earning a designation from the National Association of Realtors® and its affiliated institutes, societies and councils.
