ORLANDO, Fla., February 2018 – Christina Pappas, district sales manager with The Keyes Company in Coral Gables, has been installed as 2018 secretary of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association with 180,000 members. “Our state should see a steady increase in home prices due to strong demand from local, national and international buyers,” says Pappas, who is active in residential brokerage. “Mortgage rates should remain low, creating attractive opportunities for buyers, sellers and investors.”

— Christina Pappas, Secretary

A leader in regional, state and national real estate organizations, Pappas is a board member of the Miami Association of Realtors and chair of its Young Professionals Network Leadership Board. She has been a leader in her local Women’s Council of Realtors, serving as education and events co-chair. Pappas has also been a director of the state association, a member of various state committees and forums, and a director of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) – plus, she serves as the 2018 liaison to NAR’s Large Firms and Industry Relations Committee. In the community, Pappas is a trustee of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and Chamber South. She is a Cornell Alumni Admissions ambassador, a United Way Young Leader Executive Committee member and former Young President’s Organization Next Generation Liaison for Miami.

“The magical moments in real estate happen along the way to a closing,” Pappas says. “That might be watching young children while the parents tour the house, preparing goodie bags for the kids to take home or bringing dinner to a family before a listing presentation. These little things create magic.”

As secretary for the state association, Pappas will focus on enhancing Florida Realtors support, services and advocacy programs for real estate professionals. “Technology is one of the keys to serving sellers and buyers effectively, and it’s important for our members to be as connected as their customers,” she says. “We also serve as advocates for homeowners and give back to our communities.”

Florida Realtors® serves as the voice for real estate in Florida. It provides programs, services, continuing education, research and legislative representation to its 180,000 members in 54 boards/associations. Florida Realtors® Media Center website is available at http://media.floridarealtors.org
