Are you a high-tech or high-touch kind of Realtor? If you really want to optimize your potential, you need to be both, according to the latest findings by the Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Utilize this information on your Web site and in your marketing material.
High-tech, high-touch: A winning combo
According to the latest survey by the National Association of Realtors®, 87 percent of all recent buyers – and 94 percent of those ages 25 to 44 – used the Internet when searching for homes. The typical homebuyer searched for 10 weeks and viewed 10 homes, according to the 2008 NAR Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers.
To capitalize on this market, Florida Realtors need to have a strong Web presence and effective online and marketing tools in order to respond quickly to inquiries from prospective buyers and sellers.
To help real estate professionals make the most of the Web, REALTOR.com has launched a blog tool.
The NAR survey also showed that 81 percent of buyers purchased their home through a real estate agent or broker – and most of them viewed the agent as a very useful information source. That means Florida Realtors® continue to add value to the process through their knowledge of local markets, expertise in the home buying process and ability to build long-lasting relationships with their clientele.
